Technical Operations

Technical Operations is the maintenance, repair and overhaul division of United. The department includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more.

Job overview and responsibilities

A Licensed Technician to perform all aspects of aircraft Maintenance work including Aircraft Release and Certification, servicing, routine and non-routine Maintenance, repairs and completion of documentation IAW Company and FAA policies and procedures.

As required by local Management will perform incidental duties e.g. Maintenance and servicing of GSE, upkeep of department facilities, equipment, tools and vehicles

  • Performs routine line maintenance tasks and is familiar with ATA chapters and all relevant United maintenance manuals

  • Possesses basic trouble-shooting skills

  • Performs aircraft receipt dispatch and re-fueling following United procedures

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Required

  • Minimum of 5 years Practical hands-on experience in an Airline Line Maintenance environment

  • Must hold an FAA A&P License

  • Preferred a minimum of 6 months practical experience on Boeing B787 aircraft

  • Must have full NSW Driver’s License

  • Must be flexible to work any shift in a 24/7 operation including nights, weekends and Public Holidays

  • Must be available for International travel for training and support of other UAL Line stations

  • Must be able to obtain and hold an Australian Airside Security Identification Card (ASIC) and Sydney Airports Airside Driver’s License (ADA)

  • Must be legally authorized to work in Australia for an Employer without sponsorship

  • Reliable and punctual attendance is essential

  • Basic Computer skills

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
