Cargo Operations

Our operations team works closely with cargo sales team, ground handling agents and regulatory bodies. To ensure compliance to regulations, standard operations procedures, to ensure a smooth cargo operation, and provide strong support to cargo process and revenue generation.

Job overview and responsibilities

Provide multiple operations support functions to the APAC operations Team for overall operations support, safety and security, standardization compliance. Manage and maximize utilization of cargo inventory to support revenue result. Enhance both internal and external customers’ experience and satisfaction for ongoing business support to UA

  • Cargo Operations - Responsible for cargo performance, safety and compliance in PVG

  • Ensure compliance to security

  • Prepare and attend to audits to ensure there is no findings, and resolve outstanding issues if found

  • Support - Provide support to the APAC operations team in the areas of cargo operations, flight performance

  • Daily oversight of service provider to ensure cargo metrics, ULD, trucking, and import and export data quality metrics are met, and interface with sales team as necessary

  • Analysis - Assist the operations team in preparing regular reports on flight performances, business KPIs, business partners performance monitoring and control

  • Trouble Shooting - Respond to service related issues, keep customers informed of shipments queries, service incidents in coordination with internal departments

  • Handle customer enquiries in a timely manner, within 48 hours of them being raised

  • Investigate service incidents and ensure they are resolved

  • Team Support - provide support to other APAC stations as necessary

  • College graduate, Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • Microsoft Office

  • Cargo Operations process systems

  • Basic China customs knowledge

  • 2+ years experience cargo sales/operations activities, and use of personal computer

  • Ability to communicate with confidence with internal and external stakeholders

  • Up to 15% travel may be required to other APAC stations

  • Must be fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken)

  • Must be legally authorized to work in China for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
