Overview

Perform approved audit steps to adequately identify and assess risks and effectiveness of internal controls. Perform SOX, other financial, operational, or regulatory audits and data analytics to protect corporate assets and ensure proper internal controls are developed and maintained in the Company.

Responsibilities

  • Complete referenced audit work papers that confirm audit procedures performed

  • Perform financial controls testing for SOX 404 compliance assigned to the offshore team while under the direct supervision of the Manager.

  • Execute solutions to business problems using data analysis, data mining, and data visualization tools under the direct supervision of the Manager.

  • Assists with special projects, contracted services and other agreed upon procedures requested of the Internal Audit department.

  • Develops and maintains productive client, staff, and management relationships through individual contacts and group meetings.

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Advanced degree preferred

  • Big 4 experience required

Certification

  • Seeking CIA or CPA required

Knowledge/Skills

  • Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)

  • Knowledge of and skill in applying internal auditing principles and practices required

  • Experience in testing internal controls around financial reporting, including IT general controls (ITGCs)

  • Ability to communicate control deficiencies in a clear, precise and actionable manner

  • Preference for experience in using database querying tools and able to write queries and procedures using Teradata SQL and/or Microsoft TSQL

  • Preference for experience with data visualization tools such as – Spotfire / Oracle OBIEE / Brio

  • Direct experience in the transportation field preferred

Experience

  • 2-4 years’ experience in public accounting or internal audit required

Other

  • Approximately 4-6 weeks of travel to US in a year required

  • Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
